Overview
As a Nationally Award Winning communication professional, Ron Smith has over 25 years of experience bringing together people of diverse backgrounds. He has been a leader of many successful organizations and has a commitment to collaboration and a team approach to finding solutions. Ron has been honored by The Association of Political and Public Affairs Professionals. With over 10 years in government and political organizations — national, state, and local — Ron not only brings a depth of knowledge, but a network of relationships.
Communication
Ron has handled many aspects of communication and political campaigns for a diverse set of clients. As a spokesperson for The Child Protection Act—Jessica’s Law, Ron debated on behalf of the initiative at the UCLA School of Law, and the League of California Cities securing an endorsement from the league. During the 2008 Presidential race, Ron was appointed as a regional chairman for the Rudy Giuliani for President campaign where he organized a dinner for Mayor Giuliani with over 1000 in attendance. Ron was campaign manager for the successful Measure R campaign; a $139 million bond measure for the Antelope Valley Community College district which received over 69% of the vote.
Conducting numerous press conferences and media interviews, Ron has appeared on local and national television and radio; he is quoted frequently in regional and local newspapers. Some of the appearances include PBS “Life & Times” and Fox Network’s “Fox and Friends.” Ron was a newspaper columnist in The Daily Business Journal, one of the largest business newspapers in California, writing about Internet communication. As a creative director and graphic designer, Ron has worked over 25 years producing diverse print and digital media for many clients. He has been honored by Graphic Design USA for his work.

Ron has held many leadership positions creating policy and writing state and local legislation; he has provided oversight for budgets over $330 million — Vice Mayor, City of Lancaster; Chairman, Lancaster Planning Commission; Chairman, AV Air Quality Management District; Chairman, Antelope Valley Transit Authority; Chairman, 36th Assembly District Central Committee, Republican Party; Chairman, PEC, Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs; Member, High Desert Corridor Joint Powers Authority; Member, TDA Article 8 Hearing Board, Los Angeles County MTA; Chairman, AV Crime Task Force; Chairman, Citizens for a Safer Community; Member, Desert Mountain Division, California League of Cities.
